Stefania Tomasiello is an associate professor of Computer Science, with the University of Salerno, Department of Industrial Engineering, and visiting professor at the University of Tartu, Institute of Computer Science. She was formerly an associate professor of Intelligent Systems at the University of Tartu, Institute of Computer Science. Her research interests are in the broad area of soft computing. She published numerous papers in this area and a textbook. She is the co-Editor in Chief of Evolutionary Intelligence (Springer) and associate editor in several journals, such as IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems. She is senior member of IEEE.
