Ahmed Wael is a dedicated data science professional with a strong foundation in communication and information engineering, holding a B.Sc. from Zewail City of Science and Technology, Cairo. He has extensive experience in both academia and industry, having served as an AI Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at Zewail City. His work includes developing deep learning models for video analytics, mentoring students, and revamping academic curricula.
In the industrial domain, Ahmed has held the role of Senior Data Scientist at Giza Systems, where he led R&D initiatives for chatbots, advanced analytics products, and the development of an AutoML engine.
Ahmed is currently pursuing his master's degree at the University of Tartu Institute of Computer Science while working as a Data Science Specialist in the Data Systems Research Group. His current research focuses on Automated Machine Learning explainability, with a particular emphasis on generating realistic synthetic data that preserves privacy.
